Cultural events in Salzburg
Puppet Theatre
Marionettes, Salzburg and the Sound of Music are somehow inserparable. Alongside the classic puppet theatre performances such as Mozart's "The Magic Flute", Tschaikowsky the "Nutcracker" and Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" the Salzburg Puppet Theatre also performs the "Sound of Music", the piece is shorter than the film lasting about an hour and a half and therefore suitable for children. Matinee performances are also given.
Advent Singing in Salzburg
If you happen to be staying at the spa and family hotel Ebner's Waldhof during Advent then we can highly recommend going to see the traditional Salzburg Advent Singing staged in the Large Festival Hall. The Waldhof has an allotment of tickets for several performances. Simply ask at the reception for more details.
